In December 2007 the troop traveled to Prince William Forest for their “Wilderness Survival” camping weekend. The troop practiced wilderness survival techniques and survival strategies for staying alive in the wilderness. One of the most enjoyable activities was the construction of “debris shelters”. Several scouts spent the night sleeping in their shelters. This proved to be one of the most enjoyable camping trips of the year. Photos by Neil Bonner.
As part of our Military History month, we visited the “Battleship New Jersey” on the afternoon of 16 December 2006. As the sun began to set we boarded the former BB62 to spend the night on board. Photos by Neil Bonner.
The troop traveled to the US Army Ordnance Museum in Aberdeen, Maryland on 16 December 2006. The weather was a bit cold and we explored the vintage tanks that are displayed outdoors. Photos by Neil Bonner.
Welcome to the Troop 1970 photo album of 2007 and earlier photographs. There are many activities that take place during the year. Each month there is at least one overnight activity and on most weekends there are local activities.
